Being a guest of a new church can often be an experience that comes with some anxiety as you look for a place to worship. We would like to share a little bit of what you can expect as a guest of Berean!
The focus of our worship time is the Word of God! We desire everything to point to the Supremecy of Scripture and the need we have to use it to govern our lives! Our pastor seeks to proclaim God's Word in ways that challenge us to be changed more into the image of Christ so we can be used by the Savior to impact lives around us.
You will find that the music used in the worship at Berean is a mix of hymns (old and new) as well as choruses and praise songs. We seek to have a balance of that which God has used through the history of the church while also using many of the newer wonderful songs of praise that are available.
The overall goal in the music of Berean is always to bring honor and glory to God. The music is held against the standard of God's Word and songs are chosen with the desire of seeing our hearts prepared to be challenged by God's Word.
For further information about this area of our worship, please call our pastor at the church office.
There are Sunday Morning sermon CD's about the subject of worship music available through the church office.
While "business casual" would be a typical description of how people tend to dress, we simply want those who come to be able to worship, be challenged by God's Word and be made into the person God desires us to be.
During our Sunday morning worship we have a wonderful nursery staffed and ready to assist you with your infants and toddlers. We have classes for students 4 years old thru 6th grade.
For further information, please contact the church office at (239) 774-2819.
As a church family we have chosen to use the New King James Version (NKJV) for our public worship. There are a number of different translations used by those who attend our services. If you have questions regarding the use of the NKJV you can contact Pastor Carlson at the church office. He is happy to answer any questions you may have.
